Ah, sorry to hear that, Mercury Chan. Alas, your perception of my words doesn’t quite match the spirit in which they were written but this is how it goes.

The gist of this piece was to let people know they could do the thing if they really want to do the thing so… how important is this book to you?

How do you feel about it?

Does the magnitude of the task at hand crush you? Are you overwhelmed and can’t figure out where to start?

If that’s the case, why not chunk it down into manageable, smaller pieces? Set yourself achievable goals, like writing a paragraph / chapter / whatever unit of measurement you prefer a day. That’s a lot less daunting that 90,000 words or however long you expect your finished manuscript to be.

And then commit to that goal day after day. Eventually, it’ll all add up.

If you can at all afford it, maybe consider hiring a professional to provide some guidance.

But remember this: If you want to do the thing, you will do the thing.

Now go write! ;-)

PS/ You also need to make sure you get adequate rest, that’s a priority, not an option.
