Thanks for doing the heavy lifting here and explaining Mastodon to newbies. I have the same reservations as you however I’ve found the platform unexpectedly welcoming so I’m curious as to how it might evolve.

So far however, I’m already on two instances and I have this weird impression of cloning myself… This isn’t ideal.

Also, I hadn’t realized that not all instances could communicate with one another.
