I often think of him as America’s comeuppance in a way, a strikingly honest representation of the values we’ve chosen to focus on at the detriment of advancing society for the common good, TWC.
I don’t believe he happened out of the blue but that’s he’s been a long time coming instead. If it hadn’t been him, it would have been someone else…
My hopeful take was that his presidency would be some point of no return that forces America to get its house in order and its people to finally transcend the partisan divide to do what’s best for the country.
Less than a year ahead of the next presidential election, I’m not sanguine about the likelihood of him being convicted by the Senate and thus prevented from seeking a second term.
Instead, I see him as POTUS until 2025, by which time I wonder what America — and the world in general — might look like.
