I’m so very glad you wrote so much, Mutasim B, even though you didn’t plan to.
Because I remember a world before the internet even though I’m hardly ancient, I hadn’t stopped to consider the low boredom threshold a lot of people have, perhaps because I’m never bored.
I’m always thinking about something and can easily get lost in thought or contemplation for hours, working through particular issues or/and connecting random dots.
Some people seem to need constant stimulation to function, and TV acts like a trough dispensing never-ending slurry… I worry about what that does to human brains, both those of the younger generations still growing and those of adults young and old.
This blind devotion to the screen scares me.
