Indeed, Adrian Bailey. I put this attitude down to my being a pragmatic, no-nonsense product of the European Union (Like you, actually, and Scotland is one of my many former homes…)

I’m allergic to bullshit and magical thinking, and nothing makes my blood boil faster than people in pain being exploited. It’s unethical and monstrous, but hey, capitalism, innit?

And I don’t believe in quick fixes either.

But I have complete trust in human agency and our innate ability to overcome, no matter how painful and difficult the process. :-)
