Catching the voice of depression when it takes over your internal dialogue is key to getting to pipe down, even if it doesn’t always shut up.

When we don’t do that, it tends to take over and then we run the risk of conflating depressive propaganda with our own voice, which adds even more confusion to a situation already difficult to manage.

As with everything, it’s a coping skill that gets stronger with time and practice.
