Well, that’s one way of looking at it, Satti! I’ve no problem whatsoever with nudity, and I’m absolutely pro-porn and sex work too so long as it’s legalized and everyone involved is safe. I lived in the Netherlands for a while and it works well there.

This isn’t the issue at hand in this piece though. Basically I’m grumbling about my attention being hijacked for clicks. Shoving the same naked pic of yourself in a personal essay just confuses me. While it might just be construed as disruptive and brave the first time around, pulling the same trick again feels disingenuous to me, and makes it difficult to be supportive, regardless of how cogent the essay might have been.

Further, I do worry about people exposing themselves so willingly without realizing what impact this could have on their future and that of their children/relatives… but hey, that’s my take on it.

I’d love to live in a benevolent and caring world where none of this matters and we’re all completely comfortable with one another without some of us ever experiencing the need to seek attention at all cost.

Alas, we’re not there yet…
